A technically capable manager who was a bottleneck as she checked everyone’s work, learned to delegate strategically, set clear expectations and accountability mechanisms.
Why choose me
I understand what it’s like to lead a team or department in environments that are fast-paced, complex, and high-stakes. Too often, technically capable managers are promoted into leadership without the support, tools, or perspective they need and teams are left misaligned, hard conversations are avoided and silos reinforced. The result? Stress, reactivity, stalled collaboration and missed opportunities. My role is to partner with you and your organisation to give your leaders and teams a warm but challenging nudge to start having the hard conversations, delegate and build capability, and listen to their stakeholders rather than talking at them.
I know the pressures first-hand
I’ve seen what poor leadership costs up close.
As a workplace lawyer, I dealt with the fallout. Conflict left unresolved. Trust breaking down. Time and energy drained.
I’ve experienced it myself too: leading under pressure and second-guessing decisions, especially when conflict showed up and there wasn’t a clear way to deal with it.
That’s what led me into organisational development. Not to clean things up afterwards, but to get ahead of it.
Today, I work with leaders and teams on their real challenges: what gets said, what doesn’t and how that impacts on performance.
When the human side is neglected, performance suffers.
Working with me, leaders feel clearer and better able to deal with what’s in front of them. You see it in how the team works and in what they deliver.
My expertise
I’ve spent more than 16 years working with senior leaders and leadership teams in construction, engineering, professional services and the public sector.
This includes organisations like Jacobs, John Holland, VicRoads and Sinclair Knight Merz.
The leaders I work with are already delivering. The change is in how they lead, how they influence, how they handle pressure and how they bring people with them.
My background combines organisational development, coaching and law. I hold a Master of Applied Science (Organisational Development) from RMIT and a Bachelor of Laws/Arts from Monash.
I’m accredited across a range of leading tools and frameworks, including:
- ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC)
- Certified Leadership Circle Profile Practitioner
- Hogan Assessments (HPI, HDS, MVPI)
- Human Synergistics: LSI, OCI, GSI
- MBTI, TMS, LEA 360
Outcomes I generate
My approach blends curiosity, direct feedback and evidence-based tools, but always in service of the unique context of each leader and team. I am warm and challenging and I’m in your corner, because I’ve been there.
An HR leadership team that struggled to work across functions built a motivating purpose and direction that was challenging but engaging and the team’s performance exceeded their stakeholders expectations.
An underperforming project team (with cost overruns and an unhappy customer) turned this around by clarifying roles and responsibilities and normalising feedback.
Trusted partner for HR, L&D and OD leaders
Your leaders are finding it very challenging to leading in complex, high-stakes environments where credibility is hard-earned and influence is built conversation by conversation. I’ve been there too.
As an HR, OD or L&D leader, you need a partner you can trust to support and stretch your people and someone who brings both rigour and relatability.
If you’re looking for a coach and facilitator who can help technically strong leaders grow into impactful people leaders, and help teams move from good to great, that’s where I come in.
Acknowledgement of country
I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where I work and live. I pay my respects to their Elders past and present. I celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
Diversity statement
I work with leaders and teams from diverse backgrounds, gender identity, sexual orientation, beliefs, ethnicities and ability. I strive to make everyone feel welcome, heard and recognised for the unique perspective they bring.
